Our rich history
Our history is a source of pride for us. In March 1996, we launched Phoenix FM (89.5 in Lusaka) as the first independent commercial FM radio station in Zambia.
This set up Phoenix FM as a trailblazer of all commercial radio stations, a position we are committed to maintaining by always being the first and most innovative radio station in Zambia.

What We Do
Giving You A Voice
Air your views on current issues happening in the country during our twice weekly flagship show “Let the people talk” which is broadcast on Tuesdays and Fridays for two hours.
Adding Rhythm To Your Day
Music is the food of life and we have all you need to add some rhythm to your daily life. Our musical shows include Phoenix Breakfast Select, Power Play, Triple 3 @ 3, Local Rhythms Count Down and the TGIF Mix.
Keeping You Informed
Stay in the know with our informative and up to date main News Bulletins that air five times a day: 06:45hrs, 08:00hrs, 13:00hrs, 17:00hrs and 18:00hrs.
You can also catch our Community News twice daily.
Engaging With You
You chance to call in and interact is catered for during our product promotional live interactive talk shows which include Daily Sports Update, Celebrating Life,
Let The People Talk and more sponsored programs. Promotional discussions have a duration of 5, 10, 15 and 30 minutes.
Programming That Is Tailored For You
We cater to our audience’s needs with lively 24 hour radio programming, ensuring that there is always something for you once you switch to 89.5FM. Although all our shifts operate in the official English language, all of the Zambian local languages are allowed for the sake of expression, provided that a translated summary is given in English.
