MTN Fintech Managing Director Komba Malukutila says there is urgent need for Zambia to set up a Cyber-Security Fast Truck Court.
Speaking during the Momo Next Generation Service Panel Discussion in Lusaka today, Mr. Malukutila disclosed that players in the Fintech are losing out a lot owing to long judicial processes, especially that cases bordering on cyber security are on the rise.
Mr. Malukutila is also proposing the introduction of Fintech in Zambia’s School Curriculum, stating that it is proving to be a challenge to prosecute related crimes as well as communicate with various publics on Fintech related matters.
He has also appealed to players in the Fintech space to speak with one voice on the challenges experienced so that regulators can respond swiftly.
Meanwhile, Fintech industry players who include Zamtel, Airtel Money, and cGrate Zambia have disclosed that the number of customers calling directly for customer service has reduced and that they are formulating various strategies aimed at responding to this demand which is uniform with every service provider.
